    I’ve never used this, but I noted that Martin Berkhan over at leangains also recommends supplementation of BCAA’s before a fasted workout. I think they are very low in calories so you get the benefits of fasting while getting protein into your system too.

    Great overview on BCAA. They are definitely an effective supplement to take to ensure the maintenance of muscle while dieting and performing fasted workouts.

    I also like to wait at least an hour or so before I eat after a workout. This way I know I am maximizing the release of HGH. BCAA allow me to ensure there is no muscle breakdown and I have even heard they can help stimulate HGH.
