An Quick Look At How The Evangeline Lilly Workout Routine For Real Steel Can Get You Fit
Evangeline Lilly’s workout for Real Steel took her to the gym 5 days a week. The majority of her workout is on cardio and the rest is on strength training.
Although some women are put off by strength training it is actually a very important piece to getting in shape. When mentioned, strength training usually makes you think of lifting weights but it can be done with resistance bands and with body weight exercises as well.
In addition to the set strength training and cardio workouts, the Evangeline Lilly workout also consists of fun, everyday activities. You don’t have to live in the gym to build a physique like Evangeline Lilly.
Evangeline Lilly Workout Routine
The goal here is to get to the gym, whether a home public gym or home gym, 4-5 times per week. In order to efficiently train your muscles you should split the days up so that you allow sufficient rest for each muscle group.
For women, I suggest sticking with 4-5 sets of 4-5 reps. This is ideal for creating toned and slim muscles. This will not make your muscles big, round or bulky.
Pick a weight that you can lift for about 8 reps or so but make sure to stop at 5 reps. You do not want to over train your muscles or create a great deal of fatigue. Instead, concentrate on lifting nice and slow and with proper form. The exact exercises you do are not as important as the how you lift or what muscle groups you work with each other. Feel free to pick your favorite exercises.
- Work your chest and back Monday.
- Work your arms and legs on Tuesday.
- Do cardio on Wednesday.
- Work your chest and back on Thursday.
- Work your arms and legs on Friday.
- Do cardio on Saturday.
- Rest on Sunday.
As for the cardio I suggest following the Visual Impact Cardio program to get the most out of every fat burning session. (note: Visual Impact Cardio has not yet been released to the public but I will let you know as soon as it has been … it’s awesome!)
Honestly, I really don’t feel that this is the most efficient and best approach to getting fit. For a much better approach to getting slim and fit checkout my Visual Impact for Women Review. In there I outline all of the different chapters and techniques used by the “Hollywood look” trainer, Rusty Moore, to build a slim, fit and feminine physique like Evangeline Lilly has.
Evangeline Lilly’s Diet & Workout Advice
Here are a few of the better quotes that I’ve collected from the web that make the Evangeline Lilly workout and diet a little more fun and realistic.
“Your mind and soul are the kings of your physique way more than any exercise you do. I was a hardcore buff girl, [but now] I go on leisurely walks and swim. My body’s 10 times better.”
“Diets are a fool’s errand. I eat something sweet every day, whether it’s chocolate or a cookie. If I don’t, I guarantee you that there’s going to be a day every week when I’m going to stuff myself, especially if it’s PMS time.”
“Sleep is the number-one thing. When I don’t sleep enough, I look bloated, my hair gets flat, and my skin goes to pot. If you struggle with bloating, get some effing sleep.”

Other Things To Consider
Getting in shape and being in shape are two different things. In order to get in shape, depending upon how from “in shape” you are, takes more time and more focus. Once you get there, your road is much easier. With a few workouts a week and by following a healthy and realistic diet you can maintain your physique with relative ease. If you are approaching an upcoming event or just want to slim down a bit the all you have to do is put in a little extra work for a month or so and you can get right back to where you were.
A good philosophy for anyone who wants to follow the Evangeline Lilly workout to get in shape is to dedicate a set time (his may be 6 months or even more if you’ve got a long way to go) to working out and eating right. Put in the time up front and give it your all. From then on you can be a little more lax about maintaining your physique.
