Here Are What I Consider To Be The 5 Best Weight Lifting Supplements — Well, Actually 6
First off, I’m not all about taking supplements. I feel that the majority of weight lifting supplements out there are not only a waste of money but also a waste of body. When I do take a supplement I only take the highest quality and most effective. This list is only from one company (Prograde) because I know that they stand for quality. They are not the cheapest supplements but they are not the most expensive either. When it comes to health, just a couple more dollars is well worth.
If you’re looking for other high quality supplements they offer some other good ones as well; these are just the supplements that I prefer. You can also checkout their weight loss, meal replacement, anti-aging, nutrition bar supplements and combo packs over at their main site.
Whey Protein Powder
Protein shakes have been one of the most used supplements for ages, and for good reason. Getting enough protein is crucial to building muscle and even in losing fat. For more info on how much protein you need, checkout my post on how many grams of protein per day we need to eat.

Krill Oil – Omega 3 Supplement
One of my favorite supplements from Prograde simply because it’s so much better than an already good supplement. For years fish oil supplements have been known as the go to Omega 3. Now krill oil is running the show. For more info on why krill is better than fish oil checkout my article about krill oil vs fish oil.

BCAA (Branched Chain Amino Acids)
BCAA’s are great for many things and are one of my favorite weight lifting supplements to take while dieting. They’re great because BCAA’s prevent muscle breakdown and promote muscle growth. To see how I like to use these, checkout my article on BCAA Supplements.

Prograde Workout
Usually I like to train in a fasted state (with a serving of BCAA’s right before my workout) but if gaining muscle is my priority than it’s not the best way to go. Having enough calories and nutrients in you prior to a long and/or grueling workout definitely helps. As far as your post workout meal, this is the most important meal when trying to gain muscle.
