    Kevin, I can’t imagine putting on 20 lbs of muscle…that means an entire new wardrobe. I hated shopping for clothes I already own.

      That would be a LOT of muscle, that’s for sure.

    Interestingly Martin Berkhan points out that most people will fit into a calculation he presented somewhere on his website.

    It basically goes something like this;

    Take your height in centimetres and take 100 of it. This is your weight in KG at between 5 and 7% bodyfat. So that would mean that I would weigh about 80kg when at 7 or less % bf. I find it to be a pretty good estimation, from experience with clients and myself.

    It’s a little easier than the equation above, but probably not as accurate!

    Cheers

      George,
      That’s really cool! I haven’t seen that one before but I do like it. And yes, MUCH more simple.

    Great article! Getting a big boost in muscle gains is always good for the ego. However, I would always recommend that training is seen as a lifelong venture. You make gains a bit at a time, bust through plateaus when they come up and of course, NEVER GIVE UP! Consistency is key.

      I say amen to that Sam. I think consistency is vastly under rated. Yet it’s the only real way to change your body.

      Good comment!
