How Much Water Should You Drink A Day To Lose Weight And Be Healthier
I have heard a lot of “how much water should you drink a day” questions over the years. I have also heard several different answers to that question. I am sure you have heard that you need to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day to be healthy … if you want to lose weight then you should drink more. The reality is that this might be true for some but it might not be for others. The amount of water needed is different for every individual.
All this talk about water is making me thirsty …
yikes, I’m already dehydrated!![]()
You have probably heard that if you are thirsty then you are already dehydrated. Another inaccurate statement! More about that below. Don’t get me wrong, water is very important.
In this post I would like to answer the question regarding how much water should you drink a day to lose weight and to be healthy. In reality, the amount you drink should not change whether you are trying to lose weight or not. Just drink enough to be healthy either way.

Are The Amount Of Calories Burned Walking Really Worth The Time And Effort?
To some, hearing the answer to how many calories you burn walking is an immediate turn off. Although the typical amount of calories burned walking is about 340 calories for a one hour stroll, there are other benefits to walking. There are also different aspects to “a walk” that will make them more beneficial. So, is it worth the time and effort to go for walks even though you don’t burn a whole lot of calories? Yes!
If you want to burn more calories from walking, and have an awesome view while doing it … ditch the shoes and head to the (warm) beach.
Is walking the go-to exercise for weight loss? Of course not. Walking to lose weight is insufficient and will take a long time to see any real results. Is walking a good compliment to your cardio and weight lifting efforts for losing weight and living a healthy life? Absolutely.
In this article I’d like to briefly touch upon a few of the benefits of walking and why you should be getting off your butt and getting some fresh air. Also, I’ll show you what the average person will burn by walking for 30 minutes and by 60 minutes.

My Favorite 1-2-3 Combo To Get Fit – Low Calorie Diet & Strength Training & HIIT
The internet is full of the “best” workouts for this and the best workouts for that … even I am guilty of writing that from time to time. The truth is that there really isn’t one workout that fits all. Sure, there are certain workouts that I do feel are best for certain goals, but if someone disagrees with me that doesn’t make me wrong or them wrong. It just means that they get better results from following a different routine.
In this post, I’m not going to call it the “best” workout approach to get fit, so instead … my “favorite” workout approach to get fit.
It’s a 1-2-3 combo of diet, strength training and HIIT cardio.
If I had to recommend a workout for somebody that I had never met, never seen and know nothing about, I’d probably recommend a low calorie diet along with strength training and HIIT. For me, this is an awesome “generic” workout that gets results.
The majority of people who are out of shape and want to get fit again are carrying around a little extra weight. Even if you aren’t fat, chances are you could benefit from shaving off a few percentages of your body fat and getting toned. This combo is aimed at creating the lean and fit look.

Feeling A Little Less Than Macho? Here’s 3 Ways To Increase Your Testosterone Naturally
Have you ever wondered how to increase your testosterone levels? Yes, I realize this is quite the question but it turns out that upping the level of your testosterone can be a very good thing. Believe it or not, it’s not all about your libido, strength, muscle size etc.
Having the right levels of testosterone can significantly improve your health … and your life.
The bad news about testosterone is that it doesn’t stay up forever. In a study done back in 2007 research found that men who were born in 1970 had 20% less testosterone at the age of 35 than their fathers did when they were 35.
What does that mean for men who were born in 1980 … like me?
Not sure, but it probably isn’t getting any better considering more and more of us are parked in front of a monitor, sorting through papers or sitting behind a steering wheel for 8-10 hours a day.

Be Aware Of These Overtraining Symptoms To Ensure Yourself Continued Progression
It is important to recognize the following overtraining symptoms and to know how to avoid them. In order to make gains and to continue improving you’ve got to put your body under a certain amount of stress. When you lift weights or do a cardio workout you are stressing your body.
If you do this correctly and in the right amount your body will come back stronger. If done incorrectly or too excessively then your body will not be able to recover.
Since there is a lot discussion on this site about different workouts and different strategies to get lean and muscular, you should realize that pushing yourself too much is a bad thing.
For those of us who feel that if a little is good then a lot must be better, pay attention. If you workout too much you will actually start regressing. If you’re trying to lose weight you could start to gain weight. If you’re trying to get stronger you could weaker.
In this article I’d like to briefly discuss the following questions. What is overtraining? What are the symptoms of overtraining? How can you avoid overtraining?

Why Even The Best Muscle Confusion Workouts Are Not The Answer To Getting Ripped Or Buff
Everyone by now has at least heard of muscle confusion workouts and how great they are. Even a few of the main stream workouts boast about their muscle confusing approach and how these types of workouts will generate the quickest results possible.
Some promise greater overall muscle size due to the “shock” your muscles receive while others say that you’ll get more definition because you hit the muscle from every angle.
I’ll just say it now … I am not behind the idea of a workout specifically built around muscle confusion. I feel there are better approaches to building mass and better approaches to getting defined.
At first muscle confusion workouts sound legitimate but in the end you may just be left scratching your head, wondering why you aren’t stronger, more defined or even bigger.
Okay, so I realize that there are a few very popular workout out right now that base their programs on muscle confusion. I have not personally done these workouts but I know of a few who have and they actually got some pretty decent results … I’m not trying to bash these workouts.
Do I think that it was due to the muscle confusion? No, I actually don’t. The people who I know personally that used this workout and got success where not already in shape … not even close.
The Best BCAA Supplements (Branched Chain Amino Acids) To Build Muscle While Losing Fat
Adding Branched Chain Amino Acid (BCAA) supplements to an already high protein diet has gotten more and more popular over the years, and for good reason. By strategically using BCAA supplements at the right time you can help your body’s ability to lose fat and build muscle. The actual BCAA supplement itself doesn’t necessarily help you lose fat, but there is a great way to include it in your diet and workout routine so that you can burn the maximum amount of fat while maintaining and even building muscle. I prefer Prograde’s BCAA supplements due to their high standard of quality but in reality you can use almost anyone’s and still get good results.
BCAA’s account for 1/3 of all the protein in muscle tissue which makes them highly important in helping to build muscle and provide energy to the muscle cells. BCAA supplements provide you with three very important amino acids:
- Isoleucine
- Leucine
- Valine
These BCAA supplements prevent muscle tissue breakdown, help in with the speed of recovery and allow you to workout in a fasted state without the fear of using muscle as fuel.
Weight Lifting For Women To Create A Toned & Feminine Figure Without Getting Ripped Or Buff
Some women who go to the gym to workout want to get ripped and/or buff — just like the guys. This is probably not the type of feminine look that most women are going for though. Usually, the goal of weight lifting for women is to get a nice “womanly” figure while slimming down and firming up. For women to get this look instead of a more masculine look, it takes a different approach to lifting weights than what you are most likely used to. In fact, chances are that even most personal trainers are not teaching the proper techniques for women to get this look because they don’t realize how.
In my opinion women should look like women and men should look like, well — men. What is sad is that many women who go to the gym will actually pay an instructor to train them to get a nice feminine look and to get in shape. My guess is that the majority of these professional trainers are giving horrible advice about weight lifting for women.

Setting Fitness Goals: Examples Of What Not To Do
An appropriate place to start is setting fitness goals.
On the about page I ensure that you will get results from following my advice and fitness strategies. There is a catch though – isn’t there always.
You must be disciplined and consistent. I’m not saying that you must never skip a workout, eat a burger or drink a beer, in fact I would actually recommend that under the right circumstances. To be successful in achieving your fitness goals, you cannot set yourself up for failure.
Many professional athletes are great examples of those who set goals and truly push themselves to reach them, and Dwight Howard is just one of many good examples –>
