Many of my articles are geared towards both men and women. In this article though, I’m going to concentrate on how to get abs for girls but not for men. If you are a woman who wants slim, somewhat toned and flat abs, this article is for you. There are many different types of looking bodies and many different opinions as to what looks good. If you’re a woman who wants extreme ab definition with deep and cut lines this probably isn’t the article for you. I’m not saying that every woman should try to develop a more womanly physique, but I do feel that in general it is a better look to shoot for.

The same goes for guys who workout. Having an extreme amount of muscle just doesn’t look natural. Some guys can pull it off better than others, but for the majority, having a more natural amount of muscle that looks really defined and cut is better than being humongous … in my opinion.

The Best Leg Workouts For Women To Get Slim & Toned Legs Without Making Them Big & Bulky

For most guys, we want broad shoulders, defined arms and full pecs. Women, on the other hand, tend to focus more attention on their hips, legs and thighs. The best leg workouts for women to get lean legs that look firm and toned, while not being big and bulky, need to be structured and setup differently than a guy’s leg workout designed to pack on size.

One of the most annoying things I hear is that women should train the same way as men. Often I’ll hear someone trying to explain that a woman can lift weights like a man but get totally different results. I agree, our bodies are different, but they are not that different.

Leg Workouts For Women

In my opinion, the best leg workouts (for women) are not ones that concentrate on putting on size or adding a ton of muscle. They should concentrate on the shape and tone of the muscle.

The common advice given to women is that they won’t gain muscle like a man will because they don’t have the same amount of testosterone.  Unfortunately this isn’t true, and more often then not, when a woman works out her legs they do get larger. But, this doesn’t mean that all leg workouts for women are going to make your legs bigger and/or bulkier.

While having a decent amount of muscle is a good thing, having too much muscle and bulky man-legs is not. A woman’s body should look quite a bit different than a man’s and there is no exception when it comes to her legs.

Chin Ups VS Pull Ups – What’s The Difference And Does It Matter Which One You Do?

At some point you’ve probably wondered what the difference between chin ups and pull ups are. When it comes to chin ups vs pull ups there is one common and excepted distinction.

When someone is referring to doing a chin up he is usually making reference to the exercise done with a supinated (underhand) grip where your palms would be facing you. A pull up is the exercise most often referred to as being done with a pronated (overhand) grip where the palms would be facing away from you.

Chin ups and pull ups used to be considered just one exercise done with alternated grips.

As with many exercises, by alternating your grip you work your muscles a bit differently. For example, when doing close grip bench press you put more emphasis on your triceps than when doing wide grip bench press.

There are many body weight exercises out there that rival even free weight exercises when done properly. When it comes to the burpees exercise, few come close to providing the same range of benefits. Not only do burpees hit basically every muscle group, they are an extremely effective fat burning tool. Overall health (not just looking good) and functional strength are very important — burpee exercises provide a bit of both.

The Best Traps Workout For Men – Focusing On The Overall Mass And Shape Of The Muscle

When it comes to building an impressive upper body, the Trapezius muscles are, in my opinion, one of those muscles that really make a difference in your physique. Unfortunately though, they can be a little tricky to develop. To me, the best traps workout will focus not only on size but also on the shape of the muscle. It’s one thing to get big traps, but it’s another to build well shaped & defined traps — it takes a combo of both mass and definition.

One thing to keep in mind though, is that you don’t want to over-develop your traps if you shoulders and chest are lagging far behind. The key to shaping a good physique is balance and proportions.

Having said that though, if the traps are one of your personal favorites, then go for it — build them slightly more than the other muscles if that’s what you want to really stand out. Either way, this traps workout is going to get the job done — it’s up to you how much you decide to work them.
